update on my last post I thank everyone one here for your comments. I took one last night My heart rate is up more than it should be in bed this morning 84. Usually 67/71. I have to be careful as J am borderline heart failure. So not going to take anymore till I speak with doctor on Tuesday I know that the rate is still within the range but not making it worse. Will ask for alternative treatment. As many have said it’s my choice. I want to lower it so I hope doctor can help. Thankyou everyone. Oh the heart rate isn’t me being anxious. I will see if it goes back to normal in a day or two

hi absolutely your choice, meds can take up to two weeks to work / normalise. But I haven’t read your other post so don’t know if you’ve Been taking for a while or just one last night. And if you don’t keep taking then you’ll not know if heart beat settles. But I am guessing other post covered this already.

I've been taking rosuvastatin 20 mg for the last couple of years, without any problems. I don't take my heart rate though, so I wouldn't know. I do know they say 60 to 100 is normal.

Thankyou for your comment. I didn’t take one last night and this morning heart rate back to normal for me and the pain in neck and hip and knee gone. I am keen to lower it and I am working on it.

I've read that many people suffer from aches and muscle pains from statins, but luckily I don't. When he was 21, at a medical exam for work, it was discovered that my son has familial hypercholesterolaemia and has to take a statin for the rest of his life. I have dyslipidaemia along with my heart issues and my cardiologist says if I stop taking the statin I'm a candidate for a heart attack. I was on 5mg rosuvastatin which lowered my total chol. but it was put up to 20mg after my 50% blocked LAD was found. So you see, I'm afraid of not taking my statin. I sincerely hope you can get your heart rate stabilised and find a statin which doesn't give you problems.
