Heart-lung transplant
Hello
I am so sorry to read this is the only option that is left for a family member of yours I can only imagine the worry and upset you must all be feeling
I am not updated at all on this but I would imagine usually they will do one transplant at a time and that may depend on a donor been found
I am not sure if anyone on here has had a heart transplant some I know are waiting but hopefully anyone that has will see your post and reply
I have found on Healthunlocked another Community which may be helpful as you can join more than one Community that is about transplants and I saw that someone was talking about a lung transplant I will put you the link on and you can take a look and see if there is anything on there that night help
You could also phone the BHF Nurses and see if they have any feedback and advice to again I will put you their details on
I am sorry I cannot be of much help but I hope your family member will get the medical interventions they need and that maybe if you have the time you will let is know how they are as well as yourself x

Hello and welcome to the forum!
Some years ago I was at a small fundraising event for the Harefield Hamsters. This group offers support of those awaiting for or having had a transplant (heart, lung or both), their carers and their families. Some members are over 35 years post transplant.
John, although not a very long reply, I know of someone (male in his 50’s) who had this operation at Papworth Hospital a few years ago. He is now doing fine. Sorry that I cannot provide more detail.
