AF breathing

I have as some of you will know been diagnosed with AF in May my ejection fraction is 50 so ok just

Bit I am breathless so often today I was doing some basic everyday things and I was breathing heavy not stupid heavy but enough to be noticed

I am asthmatic but on the device to measure my asthma I blow 650-700 without fail

Anyone this breathless with AF as I know someone with AF that has no symptoms of breathlessness

Hi NLGA. I would get this checked out by your cardiologist so they can rule out anything cardiac related! Breathlessness can be a symptom of anaemia too, you can request a blood test for haemoglobin, which transports oxygen in the blood, iron and vitamin b12. What medications are you taking if you don’t mind me asking?

Hi I am on on 15mg beta blockers . Amiodarine . Calcium blockers amd thinners I am booked for CV in two weeks . My echo was ok 50 EF they say this will improve with CV mild MR regurgitatio no issuer with valves or potential blockages

It doesn’t sound like a side effect of medication, hopefully your cardiologist will be able to reassure you! Hope you feel better soon
