Hi I've been having chest ,arm, and jaw pain for a while .short sharp pain that's gone in a few seconds. I had a valve replaced 5yrs,ago n a pacemaker fitted too. Anyway I went to AnE with these pains they done bloods an ecg and a chest xray was told all normal .They said they don't no what's causing it. But to go back if it gets any worse I think they put it down to anxiety. I'm sat worring and wondering what to do next as the pains ate still here on a daily bases...

Dear avcalv
I a so sorry to hear that you suffer so from anxiety and all that goes with that crippling illness, many members on here suffer with it and hopefully some will come along and tell you their story and what they have done to help themselfs.
You have already posted this post in “Pain Concern” and to be honest with you I certainly cannot give your any better advice than you got there.
I can understand how you are feeling about the symptoms that are presented to you and who wouldn’t?
You must go to the hospital and get this sorted regardless of how many tests that you have had there, if you presented these symptoms to 111 almost certainly you would be sent an ambulance, your symptoms are that serious.
You already know this and if it helps, by some one who is not medically trained telling you it, then so be it.
Get answers from the right people { we can only offer support } and remember as much as you feel like you are…………you are never alone.
Take care and please keep us informed.
Please go and see your GP. Ask if you can see your cardiologist again. If in any doubt ring 111. If paramedics are called - they would rather check you are ok than you not doing anything - and you’re not. It is frightening - totally understand.
My husband was the same nothing showing up on his troponin levels and his ecg problems historical so it was a waste of time going to the hospital when he was getting chest pain however when he finally got to see a cardiologist who arranged an angiogram he needed re-stenting as his one artery was 99% blocked , the artery that had been stented before as the stents were failing. Your chest pains may be caused by a different problem than my husbands but you need to see a cardiologist, can you afford to pay and see one privately first. That is what we had to do and it was worth every penny. Keep nagging.
Thank you so much for your reply, That is exactly the way I'm thinking of going. A private consultant for speed really as referrals take a while. Can you tell me the time of husbands appointment to the actual angiogram please..many thanks
I can understand how you must feel. I had a heart attack recently and I’m so sensitive to any pain now.
WOW I live in the USA and here when you call or go to Emergency room, with telling them any kind of cardiac BOOM you are whisked to back and doctor comes in ASAP, then blood test, vitals, EKG done. Like within 20 mins, even if you go by ambulance. Please don't wait go to see your doctor the one that KNOWS your medical history. God b with you.
