When to go go A&E for palpitations?

Hi guys, looking for some advice.

I have LBBB with inappropriate sinus tachycardia. I’ve recently had a cardiac MRI to try and find the underlying cause of these conditions, which I’m still awaiting the results of.

One of my symptoms has been palpitations but they’re usually infrequent. However for the last three days I’ve been having regular palpitations/sensations of missed beats which are pretty strong. This is unusual as I’ve never had palpitations last so long and they’re not normally this intense. At one point I did have some very mild jaw and back discomfort but it was so mild that I really couldn’t tell if it was real or if I was just imagining it due to anxiety.

I don’t feel like it’s severe enough to warrant an A&E visit, but with my underlying conditions and the persistence of these palpitations, I’m getting a bit concerned as they don’t seem to be going away. They’re not continuous palpitations but they’re happening frequently enough though out the day that it’s concerning, especially with it going on for 3 days.

Any advice appreciated.

Hi, I have LBBB, I frequently have palpatations. I found out my condition in 2016. I kept having dizzy spells, high blood pressure. I ended up in a & e. I was given tests. I found out I have a bicuspid valve, my heart leaks. Make a note of when your palpatations are happening,???? Have you been rushing around, have you got a lot on your mind etc. If you have LBBB I was told there's a underlying condition somewhere. Mine was my valve and leaking heart. . Hopefully, when you've had your results, you'll be advised when or if, to head to A&E. If at all your feeling worried phone 111. The more you worry the more chance of palps.. Take care.

It’s better to go to A&E than not to! A&E is there for people like you . It’s not for minor ailments but for something serious or something that could be serious .As someone else said you can call 111 if you like .

I’m also reluctant to go to A&E but was told by an A&E doctor it’s better to go when you know it could be serious .

I have learnt through experience that it’s better to listen to our intuition than not to.

I didn’t and had a major heart attack that I was lucky to have survived .
