Good morning

Can I just ask as I do not have a heart condition its my son and I'm trying to understand it. He had his first symptoms fast heart rate, clammy, Pale Skin tone and lethargic. He seems to have recovered but stayed overnight in hospital for observations. Since then he has been extra tired yesterday he had at least 3 naps during the day lasting over an hour slept through the night and didn't wake up till 5.30 ( my son is Autistic and since he was young has always woken up between 4-4.30am unless he is ill). He doesn't look his normal bright eyes and bushy tail. Is this normal for someone with mild HCM and Aortic root dilatation ( he has both) I don't know if I've been panicked by last week episodes or if I should be concerned. He finds explaining how he is feeling difficult. TIA 😒

Is your son under the care of a child cardiologist/specialist? Have you just been sent home by the hospital with no support or advice. ? You may also get advice from one of the British Heart Foundation nurses. You can telephone one of them and speak on the phone. I have found them very knowledgeable and helpful. People here are good at support based upon their own experiences but we do not have many childrens parents who ask us for advice.
