That’s cheap, I was quoted £617. Before my MI so dread to think what it would be now, and that was single trip to Mexico.

Wow that’s expensive for a single trip?i think the further away you travel the more expensive it is in case they have to pay to get you back home?also it will be down to your symptoms and the meds you are taking.my partner has myotonic dystrophy and she was quoted £1500 for a single trip on a cruise to Iceland.

Now that is expensive, I also suffer from cll and bladder cancer so I suppose I’m a greater risk, but dare not ask now I’m on ticagrelor, statins etc. Dave

If we were guaranteed the weather in summer in the uk we wouldn’t be bothered about holiday insurance there are plent of nice places to visit here but not sure what the weather would be it’s a chance we take.

I agree, that’s what we will be doing this year.

I think you will find its cheaper for a yearly policy than just to cover the holiday as long as your getting the use out of the policy. Best to ask for both prices. Brian

Hi bingo.they quoted me £270 for a single trip or £400for the yearly one so it was a no brainier actually.ive had 1 trip and got 2 more planned before October so getting my use out of it. Ime waiting for a contrast echo so don’t know what will happen with insurance if they find a problem on the results.

Sadly it's the chance you take. They won't extend the policy because of any reason. So just get as many holidays as possible. Even if in this country it should cover you too. Good luck Brian

thanks Brian.i intend to get as many as possible this year as I think I am faceing more problems after my contrast echo so will find it hard getting insurance next year.

Yes that's the way to do it and get your moneys worth. I have never heard of the procedure you are waiting for but I hope all goes well and keep in touch if you want. I just have a pacemaker through suddenly having a slow heart rate. Copd. And they found out when I was just over 40 that I was born with 1 small kidney so now got chronic kidney disease as well. Hope you enjoy your holidays and take care Brian

Hi Brian sorry to hear your symptoms.i had a heart attack in October 2021 my symptoms are left bundle branch block caused by atrial tachycardia a fast heart rate I had an echocardiogram which showed a enlarged area around my left ventricular which means my heart has to work harder to pump the blood from the left ventricul as it is not filling with the right amount of blood.the contrast echocardiogram I am waiting for is where they put a dye in your blood to your heart to see where the blood is not reaching the heart muscles.regards

Hope all goes well for you. My health problems don't bother me. I just keep Positive and going as normal I can walk around a holiday resort and As long as there's no hills which are a problem with getting out of breath I am OK. I am hoping to have a long awaited return to Costa Blanca for 2 months over Christmas and get away from the weather here. Take care Brian
