Hi, I (33 male) was hospitalised a couple of months ago with suspected HA that turned out to be Myocarditis. I had raised troponin of 2,560 and an abnormal T wave ECG. Other than that i just had some moderate chest pains. Echo, Angiogram and all other tests showed normal heart and function.
I was released after my viral infection disappeared and two months on still getting chest pains. Is this normal? I get my MRI results tomorrow and i’m feeling huge anxiety about it.

Hi, yes it is normal ,I still have pain a year after my last episode & spent yesterday in A&E again because it became so severe. Everyone is different & recovery just takes time & lots of rest. The MRI results will clarify things for you so try not to worry about it too much but I understand the anxiety, it's not nice
Hi yes very normal..hope the mri gave some clarity...my symptoms very similar 44 with myocarditis I'm in 4 months and still getting nausea/ chest pain/aches.. this comes on when I over do things like walk too far, lifting etc...but not straight away.. can be that evening or the next day..my mri in April was good heart function but could see inflammation and scaring....I'm getting frustrated with the slow progress however just got to keep reminding that the heart needs to heal and can take months...my next doc appointment is in July.. so they pretty much leave you to it.. hope keep improving
