Hi all,
I have mytral valve prolapse and regurgitation since birth now at a medium to severe level.
I had covid (and 3 jabs) in February which was mild and since then I feel off with my heart. I often feel that it's beating irregular, or pounding. I even have to sit down for a few minutes. I have this every day and it scares me. I had once when all of a sudden heart rate went really fast and was above 100 for about 2 hours. Of course I have anxiety and now having a lot of stress too with marriage problems. I phoned my cardiologist when I had this fast heart rate (didn't not have this kind of episode since then). Didn't really call me back, assistant said if I'm worried go to GP or A&E. I went to GP few days later they did ECG which was OK. I'm not sure what to think, is this due to covid? Is it stress or is there something wrong with me?
What I feel is often a pounding heart, fast beats, feel exhausted and often feel tense which makes me believe it is stress? I am a worrier and of course these heart issues do not help to calm me down 😔. I had an echo on my heart just before I got covid which was OK no change to normal.
Please reassure me 😔Xx I'm only 42.
