I came out of 85 hours in AFib early yesterday afternoon (the second longest since I first starting taking readings in May 2020) . I'm now getting an intermittent dull aching central in my chest together with feeling slightly light headed and short of breath but think this might be down to anxiety, is this normal after a lengthy AFib episode?

I’m new to this forum, Peter, but no doubt your concerns have been aired before, if you look through the posts. I have permanent AF , and recognise your symptoms. Furosemide, the diuretic, was very effective in taking away the bloating , and pain in the solar plexus was a feature of that. Shortness of breath is something I can’t get rid of, and don’t expect to, until the AF is tackled fully ( I’m waiting for elective DC cardio version). They are busy, of course, but I recommend having a chat with a BHF nurse .
