Mine is fine at 45 bpm and I have no symptoms. How low is your "low"?
Oh that’s reassuring thanks. Mine is 45 too but I feel light headed and tired. I’ve had palpitations this afternoon too. Thanks for responding so quickly Palpman. 🙂
If you are experiencing symptoms, like 'light headedness', then I would suggest it is possibly too low for you, contact your GP or if you feel you can't wait contact 111.
At one stage I had constant second degree AV heartblock where every second ventricular pulse was missing. The atrial P pulses were all there but every second one would not follow through to the ventricles. This gave me a pulse of 36.
It felt like an invisible hand was squeezing my heart. Felt very uncomfortable.
Oh man I’m so sorry to hear that it sounds horrendous. I have picked up now. With help I walked up and down the stairs a few times to get my heart rate up. Iced water and 300 mg aspirin along with gtn spray. My chest feels bruised though and so tired. I’m definitely going to consult about this. My dicky ticker goes out to you. Keep well and thanks so much for responding 😊
Hello Worvera,
It could be your medication or an interaction between your medications.
My Cardiologist gets concerned if my heartrate goes too high or low as both can kick off my coronary vasospasms, along with my BP dropping.
After I have had a severe episode of angina, my heart also feels bruised and I feel very tired.
I suggest you get in contact with your Cardiologist to discuss what's been happening.
Be careful, I ended up falling and breaking my ribs when I felt light headed because of my coronary vasospasms causing arrthymias.
I hope you feel better soon.
Your BP also matters. My heart rate is higher that yours (75 ish. But my BP can drop to 90/65. When that happens, I get the same symptoms as you (light headedness etc). I have Microvascular angina and am about to start Ranolazine for the angina. It's supposed not to lower your BP . Some of the symptoms you are getting might be side effects of the meds you are on. For instance Bisoprolol reduces your heart rate, and can lower your BP. When I was on 2.5mg of Bisoprolol, my heart rate dropped to 55-60
Morning, I've been told I have bradycardia, mvp and lvh. I get bad palpatations and my pulse drops to a low of 33 sometimes and I feel light headed ,dizzy and fatigued. Currently on 1.25mg of bisoprolol which can cause your hr to drop but was told i need to stay on it. I've had a few low episodes lately with terrible shakes afterwards and was blue lighted from work the other wk and my pulse dropped to 30 on route to a&e.After 8 hours I was discharged when everything settled down and now my gp and a&e doctors have requested my cardiologist urgently follow me up.
Now waiting for a 24 hour blood pressure monitor to see if it throws up anything.
With regards to the low heart rate sometimes its a low 34 or 36 and I feel ok but other times it can be 42 or 44 and I feel terrible so I think it all depends on you at that time. Maybe a call to your gp to update him on any new symptoms you have and to see if the meds need looking at to check your ok taking them.
Best wishes
Taz.
Omg that sounds horrendously scary. Jeez I hope you get sorted soon Taz. I too have been whipped into A&E a few times but I thought my meds had helped stabilise. Thank you for sharing. I sincerely hope you get better soon
Hi, I had a pacemaker fitted to stop my heart rate falling below 60bpm.How were you diagnosed with microvascular angina. What symptoms do you have? Do they just come on at night?
Hope you’re feeling a lot better? 🙏
My diagnosis took almost 2 years concluding with an induced attack during an MRI scan. I get very tired and get chest pain. I can’t bear the cold and yesterday I got cold to my core prior to the episode described above. I used to have to sleep sitting upright before getting meds sorted. As people on here are suggesting; perhaps my current prescription now needs revision. Thanks so much for your good wishes and I send them right back to you 😊
Get your meds checked out if you can. That was me 5 months ago -no energy low heart rate and could barely get out of the chair and I was taken off two tablets Bisoprolol and another med that slowed my heart rate down. I’m now only on an aspirin and Isosorbide +GTN as and when required. I feel like a new person. So much more energy with busy and active days. Good luck.
My doctor freaked out when it was 40 at a check in the doctors. But at 43 they were happy. Mine is 43 at rest.
