Hello Just a quick question doy you have a medical Diagnosis of Heart Failure to take to your HR dept ?? It would be helpful for them .
Regards
Dear gandrdixon
Please can you re-do your post as we are unclear to what your question is.
Guessing I would say that you are asking about benefits should you have to leave your job?
You say in your post that you have signs of heart failure, is this self diagnosed or by the medical profession?
If you have a recognised heart problem and are being treated for the diagnosis, then your Dr / heart team can put you straight on what benefits are open to you.
Also if your work place has a Human Resource dept or { rare } a union, they will help you.
I am sorry that you have heart problems and that 12 hour work shifts are becoming hard for you.
Please let us know how we can help you.
You are in my thoughts
hellothe doc has confirmed right side heart failure signs. i have also got dvt in right knee and lungs too, and just to top it off i also had covid too but that gone
Hello.I would definitely ask for a review.
I’m a heart failure patient too and working 8 hours shifts and part time.
This give me the energy that I would not have to look after myself, do some daily exercise, not rushing around and have proper rest.
Because your heart is still coping doesn’t mean that you’re not straining it.
12 hours shift are way too long for a person with heart failure, even if it is a sedentary job.
All the best!
If you’re asking about work conditions you should insist upon an individual risk assessment. Your union should be able to help with this
