Hi All,

I’m a 57 yr old chap having a bad time, I’m still waiting to be diagnosed but a recent CT scan (which I had to pay £1400 for ) shown up 50% stenosis in 2 of my arteries and other build up in my Remus ?? I’ve been put on statins B blockers and aspirin but I still have my… and this is the bit I struggle with, it’s not pain it’s more like stitch or as if a bag of fluid has burst right in my heart. I’ve had lots of trouble getting this across, but I await a camera inserted next, which may take a year!! I’m just wondering if anyone else suffers similar, I ride a ebike and seem fine when out and about ??? Any advice or understanding ?

Hi. I am having similar problems. I had. Mild HA back in Feb 21 and since then I was having chest pain going all the way back on my shoulder blades. Pain sometime felt same as u described. I could ride an exercise for hours without any pain but as soon I walk or do any upper body workout, pain used to knock me down. I had 2nd angioplasty only to ascertain the cause of this pain but nothing new was found

I went private and a cardiologist put it down to a pinched nerve. He prescribed a nerve pain medication which solved my problem to a great extent.

Worth asking your doctor.

I get a similar pain to the one you have described, going through chest to shoulder blades. Recent stent did nothing to improve it. I get it when standing for long period or using upper body. I’ve thought that it is nerve related, could you say what the medication is that you take for nerve pain? Thanks

I was put on Amitriptyline 10mg. Worth asking your GP

Dear Markcessna

Hello and thank you for your first post to the forum.

I’m so sorry that you are suffering the way you are and with those symptoms it’s easy to see why.

Most members on this site are not medically trained and the few that are would be reluctant to diagnosis you here.

Having said that I feel that your description of what is ailing you is spot on .

Many times I was asked at what pain level I was at, when I said nil there were raised eyebrows as they looked at my scans.

The point I’m trying to make without re-writing the bible is , I really think that you don’t need to be in pain to have something wrong with you. I described mine very similar to you.

In the end you know your body and if you feel something is going on “ a bag of fluid burst in my heart “ feeling to me needs investigation.

Good luck with everything, we are here for you
