Hi All,
Christmas day and I went and had a heart attack, was about a week later I had an angiogram and decision taken to fit stents.
I was discharged the following day. Can't fault the hospital care under difficult conditions due to staff shortages, Covid Omicron running rampant etc. But I have received zero information and contrary to the notes on my discharge summary have been given no information on lifestyle and risk factor management.
My discharge summary mentions an out patient appointment in 6 weeks, put today I received a notification that I have a telephone appointment in April.
So my question is how to I get on a cardiac rehabilitation program? Where do I get advice, specific to me and my condition as to how much I should exercise ( what heart rate zones)? And when should I expect a review to see how blood pressure and cholesterol levels are changing?
Thanks for reading and would greatly appreciate any advice.
