I've never been able to get a straight forward answer from any health care professional. All my consultant would offer is that he'd be surprised if I wasn't alive and kicking in 10 years time. (So, there was no chance of me being able to get the early retirement I asked about.)
Hi Seaguller, I was initially told 50% chance of surviving 5 years, but then another consultant said that that was old statistics, and that now a days they are looking for survival rates into people's 80's, so that was much more reassuring for me. I am 59. But note My EF on diagnosis was 15%..... and I'm still here. Medics are saying that they'd like an EF of above 35%, which you are, so keep taking the meds, and follow the rules for diet and exercise, and you should be grand 😁
