Breathlessness mild

Nicorandil 10 mg what used for. Having a little breathlessness. On Amiodorone, and eGFR39. Cardiologist wants to add nicorandil to my meds.

I looked this up because I have never heard of Nicorandil. Apparently it widens the blood vessels enabling the blood to get to the heart more readily and,I guess, helps with pumping the blood around the body. I am not a medic. You can look it up for yourself easily online.

I have taken Nicorandil for quite a number of years now alongside other heart meds without any problems - take 30mg in the morning follwed by another 30mg just after lunchtime.

I have been on 30mgs of Nicorandil twice a day, for many years to help manage my angina.

Perhaps have a chat with your local pharmacist, they are usually very knowledgeable about medications.
