Doxazosin 1mg

Well I'm now back on Doxazosin 1mg, consultant took me off Bisoprolol 2.5mg today, and put me back on Doxazosin 1mg and back on Propanolol 10mgs x 4 aday, unbelievable, didn't want to go back Doxazosin, but he won't listen and said I can come straight of Bisoprolol?? Any thought's ??

Good morning. Can I ask why you didn't want to go back on Doxazosin. I am on a 4mg in a morning and a 2 mg at teatime and have had no problem. Hope you're keeping well. Brian

Hi they want to leave me on 1mg which is what I started on, but blood pressure is still on high side, consultant put me on bisoprolol 2.5 but just said stop it and go back on Doxazosin 1mg he won't up it, and I didn't think you could just stop bisoprolol, thought you had to reduce it first? My pulse is now higher as well, all very scary , thanks for reply

Your welcome. I am only on Doxazosin in tablet form so can't advise. I think you need to ask direct questions of your doctor if the tablets are working. Because it's your health at the end of the day. Take care
