My little boy is now 7 months old and was diagnosed with SVT when he was 8 weeks. He's on propranolol 3 x daily, and being monitored every 6 week with a 24hr holter and echo of his heart to check that the meds are still working. I guess I'm just looking to see if there is anyone in the same situation? Would be good to know if some of the things we are experiencing with him are normal for babies taking propranolol!
Oh bless him and all of you coping with your babys wellbeing with SVT. I hope someone on the forum has some answers to help you. Just wanted to send my best wishes. Hang on in there the medics will sort your beautiful new babys issues. Perhaps the hospital has a support group or maybe your GP knows of one.
Have you thought about ringing BHF to see if they know where you can get further support and information. Worth a call to them on Monday. Good luck.
Thank you for the reply and good wishes. We are fortunate that he is well and it is controlled with the medication at the moment. Hoping it's still the case as he's growing so quickly! It feels strange asking for support as he is so well, but equally there are times it feels very hard as I know no one else in the same situation.
Will look at maybe contacting the BHF tomorrow.
