Hi guys, I had a stent fitted at the end of June this year. Does anyone have any advice on vaping? Is it dangerous to carry on? I'm on the lowest strength available.

Vaping
I was advised to quit using the nicotine lozenges that I’d taken since giving up cigarettes ten years previously. And I understand the same advice holds true for vaping.
When it comes to cancer risk nicotine is less of a problem, the real cancer risk comes from the tar and other chemicals in cigarettes. But for heart disease risk nicotine can be responsible for the background inflammation that often causes heart disease.
Therefore the advice for vaping and other nicotine products is that they’re okay as a temporary aid to quit smoking, but long term you should wean yourself off them too.
Good luck!
Hi bonham. Chappychap has given you good advice, but I thought I'd jump in as a vaper. I had a ha in 2019 I stopped smoking 2 years prior to this and have reduced my nicotine ℅ gradually ever since until it is now negligible. I do know I will never go back to smoking but I guess I am still addicted to the habit associated with vaping. One day I may well stop, but for now I look on it as the lesser of 2 evils. Not an endorsement, just my 2 pennyworth. X
Me too jumping in on this - gave up smoking a couple of years ago using inhalator capsules - so no patch, no vapour, no smell, and they REALLY helped available from any chemist .
