Hello... It has been common practice, even pre-pandemic, to be discharged to the care of their GP 6 - 8 weeks post stents/bypass/etc. Your symptoms do not sound right so your first port of call has to be your GP. Do you have any other issues that could be holding your recovery back?

Sorry I did not answer your question about hyperlipidemia?
Hyperlipidemia is a medical term for abnormally high levels of fats (lipids) in the blood. The two major types of lipids found in the blood are triglycerides and cholesterol.
These can be reduced by limiting intake of foods like red meat, dairy and fried food. Triglycerides also increase by a high intake of sugar, including fructose and alcohol. Smoking is also thought to have an effect.
As you have been referred to a specialist clinic this is probably the underlying cause of your atherosclerosi. It suggests you are on the radar.
