I have angina and had a stent I am 67 male at the moment I have low bp doctor changing and adjust my medication to improve this. at this time I sit here with mild left side chest ache, light-headed, headache, neck pain, dizziness, and fell sick this has been going on for a couple of weeks off and on. I take my bp daily and the average is 102/70 I don't want to go to A&E as been about 3 times in the past and saying angina last time they said the small vessels at the bottom of my heart are the problems. so reluctant to go as afraid I might be wasting their time especially at this time because of corvid I am hoping it will clear up or get worse then I won't feel so guilty calling A&E anyone else who had these symptoms.
best regards
from an worried old man

I appear to be in exactly the same cart Jim and I am a similar age and I feel as though I am constantly banging my head against a brick wall trying to get things done!
But because I look fit, I am not overweight and I don't normally let people know how I am feeling, most people (most especially the inept NHS) can't understand how desperately I need some kind of joined up writing help.
From my experience Jim, if you don't become a thorn in the side of your local surgery as well as your local hospital, you will continue to be overlooked.
You don't say if you are having treatment by a cardio consultant, if you aren't then you ought to insist that your surgery makes an urgent appointment for you. If they don't ask for an URGENT appointment then you could be waiting for months.
You possibly need to have a full bloods test to see how your various levels are (sugar/cholesterol etc.) because they can have serious effects on your BP.
Then what is your diet, is it good healthy low sugar, low fat, low salt and finally what is your weight, are you carrying too much and how much exercise do you do?
But most of all Jim, become a right royal PITA at your surgery and hospital and don't rest until you feel like you are having the right kind of action.
Sounds like side effects from your bp meds apart from heart pain as Buzzy Beans says if you give more detail someone here may have similar experience of your meds. Unless your stent was recent the chest pain is worrying.. if it is angina caused by smaller or peripheral arteries your doctor should have explained how they wanted to treat this.. if you are managing the pain with meds there are many you can take some good some with bad side effects if you can supply more detail someone here may help with their experience pending some clarity which your doctor should give you
