Dapagliflozin and weight loss, I'm concerned as I've lost a huge amount of weight since taking it and do not want to lose anymore.

I'd like to hear from people who are currently taking Dapagliflozin- hope that's how you spell it.

I haven't got Diabetes but was prescribed it for heart failure - Severe LVSD, EF 20% plus thrombus ( blood clot ) 🥺 . I have been taking Daparifloxin for around 3 weeks or so I've gone from 9st 4lb to 8st 3, I didn't have water retention so i know I've not lost fluid. I'm skin and bone !!! I hate it . Has anyone had this experience? Will my wait stabilize as my body gets used to the chemicals. I won't stop taking it as I don't want my condition to get any worse . Will speak with GP but when they reviewed my meds last week he didn't have a clue Dapagliflozin was used to treat heart failure!?! But he's not a cardiologist so I'll let him off 😂 any advice or other people's experiences would be highly appreciated.

I'm not sure how long it takes for your weight to stabilise but it is quite common to lose weight when taking dapaglafloxin ( I've probably spelt that wrong!) though you don't seem to have needed to lose any at all! dapaglafloxin was originally prescribed for diabetes but it was found that it really improved heart failure symptoms and was licenced for heart failure last November.Have a look at the Pumping Marvellous website and closed Facebook group for more info, advice & support.

Thank you for your reply !!! I'll have a look on those sights. I'd really love to go eat a load of pies and put some weight back on , but that wouldn't be good for my heart ❤ you just can't win sometimes.
