Had another angiogram, first in about 5 years and all is very good. Said I should not have artery issues for 8-10 years at least. But, they are wondering why and what is causing my angina symptoms. Two cardiologist will discuss my ecg test, ecg 24 hour monitoring and bp testing. Thinking of switching my meds to a calcium type med from my nicorandil and monomial. I have to do yet another ecg at the end of the month as well. For the first time in 5 years I feel they will actually investigate what is wrong with me.

Very good angiogram
Good to hear your angiogram show no blockages.
Has anyone considered non obstructive coronary artery disease?
This is another often overlooked and under recognised cause of angina without permanent blockages in the coronary arteries.
Not yet. This is the first time since being diagnosed over five years ago that I feel more investigation will happen. One doctor mentioned taking a type of calcium med for spasms. The two cardiologist will talk soon about what to do next.
I am on a Calcium Channel blocker for my coronary vasospasms along with isosorbide mononitrate.
Unfortunately Non obstructive coronary artery disease NOCAD, microvascular dysfunction and vasospastic angina can be a challenge to tell apart and diagnose.
It is good that a Cardiologist is considering vasospasms as a possible cause of your angina.
