How long did you wait for MRI results?

I had an mri scan last week, to look for possible evidence of myocarditis or cardiomyopathy, still not had any results. How long can I expect to wait and do they write with results or call?

I always wait 2 weeks and then call. We know the NHS is extra busy at the moment so the wait may be longer but I would still call after my 2 week wait as quite often the results are there just waiting to be typed or sent to the consultant or GP so you can probably be told the result.

My MRI results took 6 months to be explained to me. i had a ct scan in June this year still waiting. I know the ct results are available because I had surgery recently and the amethyst requested the CT results before agreeing to put me under.

Problem is, I can chase them and possibly get them sent in the post, but without a consultation appointment they won’t be easily understood and googling the results isn’t always helpful and can make you more anxious.

Wow that’s a long time. I know I really don’t want to receive the results without having the explained to me as I know that will set my anxiety off if I start googling.
