I got a copy of the letter to my GP following a recent diabetes review. It said I had a weak pulse in the right foot but no detectable pulse in the left foot. In fact there hasn't even been a detectable foot for nearly a year. Or is there a phantom pulse to complement the phantom pain?! 🤔👻🤣
OT - Had to Laugh: I got a copy of the... - British Heart Fou...
OT - Had to Laugh
OK, that made me laugh...and wince. How did they miss the BKA?
Oh Michael the fact you can laugh at this is inspiring! I did chuckle BUT doesn't do much for faith in the NHS 🤦🏽♀️ Sorry to hear the phantom pain is ongoing too 😔
Couldn't you just pretend🤪
You couldn't make it up ?
My we do need an intact gallows humour to get through life at times.
Unbelieveable! Do we laugh or cry? How are things with you at the moment? X
Well Michael that did make me think about when the locum gp was going to send my Mother for a chest xray, as they couldn't hear anything from her lung on one side. My Mother told them, they wouldn't as she only had the one lung. Glad to hear you can laugh about it. Hope you are doing ok.
Brilliant! Not the phantom pain, that sounds awful. But that did make me laugh. We’ve all had information that doesn’t quite add up, but that’s got to be right up there! Best example so far. Glad you could see the funny side and shared. Laughter is the best medicine. Hope you have a good day xx
You have made my day and I guessed you were in the UK the same as me they are hopeless at times.
Morning Michael,
That is so unbelievable, you have to laugh otherwise you would wonder at the their thinking 😂
Gee whizz - whatever next!!? Good job you can smile about it! Somebody being over the top PC maybe?Hope you are doing well.
Despite everything you've had to go through thank God your sense of humour hasn't dwindled! 😂😂
OMG!!! Thank goodness you can still laugh😂😂😂
Thanks for the laugh, Michael! Where would we be without a sense of humour. It is so good that this site allows us to share these moments as well as the more serious stuff and, forgive unintentional pun in your circumstances, but gives us all a sense of balance!
I despair at the doctors today
I'm surprised you're not hopping mad 🦶🤣
Thank God for you MichaelJH!!! You are living proof that a good sense of humour can help you weather anything in this life. Bless you - never stop posting on this site - you’re a real tonic to us all! Sue 🙏
Put your foot down and demand that they take another LOOK at it.
😂😂!! Thank you Michael. Your sense of humour, despite all you're going through/gone through is incredible.I've just had a letter from the diabetic clinic telling me I have kidney failure. When calling to speak to the consultant about a plan of action, he just asked me what I was talking about. Apparently my kidneys couldn't be in better shape!! He just said to ignore the letter. I asked whether I could ceremoniously shred the thing and his answer was "You might as well. It looks like there's been a bit of a clerical error!!!" Duh!!!!
All the very best. Jan xxxx
