Has anyone been unable to walk for more than a minute with this drug? My GP thinks this is the cause and has lowered to 40mg today? I’m anxious that it may be the 5mg bisoporol.

Atorvastatin 80 mg side affects.
Gazchops had very bad reaction to statins.
I have been on 80mg for 7 months now and also 5mg Bisoprolol.
Have had a stiff shoulder for a few months just put it down to sleeping funny or the like but last couple of weeks it’s been achy shoulder, sore neck, painful right wrist joint (opposite arm to shoulder) and some abdominal stiffness. Might just be a few aches and pains but I have a call with cardiology pharmacist on Monday so will see what they say. I don’t know what “typical” statin aches feel like so not sure whether to put it down to medication or falling asleep on the sofa!!
Morning... Just wondering what symptoms are limiting your walking, e.g. muscle pain, breathlessness, chest pain, etc.
Was wondering why you asked Out for a walk their symptoms as I am On Atorvastin and cannot walk very far without stopping because of muscle pain and out of breath .
After taking that tab, I get really bad muscle pains, shooting pains in my hands and legs and feet. I actually can not walk at all. A couple of hours later, I can walk but only for a minute. I don’t get out of breath, it’s literally like my legs seize up. I’m going to contact my GP again today.
It sounds like a particularly severe reaction to the Atorvastatin. I had muscle aches with Simvastatin that went when I changed to Atorvastatin. However, I am on 40mg as my liver screams enough at 80mg!
Fortunately if there is not a statin that suits you other drugs are available.
Hope GP consultation goes well...
Was on Atorvastatin until a few months ago and suffered a lot of leg aches after walking spoke to GP who changed me to Pravastatin and have had no issues since.
Atorvastatin didn't suit me for another reason but I did get muscle pain in one arm.Like you I changed to Pravastatin which cleared up the other issues including the muscle pain and seems to suit me.
Hi - my husband had to go off statins altogether because he literally wasn't able to walk more than 50 m. He has been on bezolip for the last 5 years and all is well. Some people dont toleratestatins well at all but they are fantastic for others.
I was given 3.75mg of Bosoprolol which was then increased to 5mg and it knocked me out so was reduced to 3.75 and have been better since
