Surgery done.

A little over 3 months ago I put a post on here explaining at bit about myself and what my current state of play was. Since that post things have moved on very quickly and I'm now just over 1 week post AVR surgery. In all I don't feel too bad just on paracetamol for pain relief now. Just literally taking each day as it comes post surgery and that seems to be working well for me 😊

I opted for a mechanical valve mainly due to the fact I don't really wanna be going through all this again in another 10/15 years. I've also had a fair chunk of my ascending aorta replaced but my surgeon assured me all went well and I'll be fitter than ever before when recovered 💪🏻.

I would just like to say a massive thank you to the people who replied to my original post and offered support and advice. It really did mean alot and helped me alot.

Again many thanks everyone

Joe

How are you doing now JMFFC? I'm in the same boat that you were a few months ago. Also a runner and now enviously watching those that can while I'm reduced to a slow walk.
