Has your snoring changed after valve replacement?

Hello,

My name is Tammy and I am a snorer!!!

So I have always snored but my boyfriend says that before my operation it was rhythmical yes annoying it was ok. After my operation apparently it sounds like im gasping for breath and gurgling. I know I don't feel really rested as well. Has anybody had the same please?

Hi, Tammy,

Afraid can’t help with that one my husband says my breathing was very odd before surgery, sounded as if I was very laboured. Even after all this time he will say he lays listening to my breathing just in case it goes back to how it used to be.

Why not have a word with the cardio nurse, just to put your mind to rest.

After my stent I genuinely was gasping for breath, I had a pretty bad reaction to my medication. That only lasted a couple of weeks though, and I'm fine now.My snoring has lessened, if anything. I'm definitely sleeping better. The procedure was carried out in April.

Have you been tested for sleep apnea? Im told sleep apnea caused my heart problems and unless treated? Would continue to cause problems.
