I would think that she meant that she was happy with the readings and it would be passed to your cardiologist, who would then contact you.

They are rarely prepared/qualified to give their interpretation.

Sounds as though you are fit to carry on with life, but you will get the fine details later. The technician is qualified to carry out the procedure, not to interpret the results.

'I don't see anything, you can go...' is a VERY good thing:) Essentially what it means is the tech didn't see anything needing to be of urgent immediate concern so you were set free to go home.

The scan will now be reviewed by the cath lab cardiologist AND your referring medic (could be a cardiologist if you have one assigned, a Rapid Access Chest Pain unit nurse, or your GP based on your afib diagnosis) and a letter should reach you from your referring medic in the next fortnight with the results and any further appointments/investigations the results indicate as being warranted, if any.

If you don't get that letter after a month from the date of your echo - chase it up with the referring medic. Sometimes we do have to chase up all sorts from bloods to scan results, it doesn't mean your medics are slip-shod, btw, a delay usually can be taken to mean all is as well as can be expected - but again, if you don't get the letter by a month on, contact the referring medic to chase up the results.
