hi again not sure if im havin panic , anxiety or something diff ,, so got a heavy pain like im full under left rib cage ,, and my top of my right shoulder and neck hurts , was okay when i woke up today but these have just come on , i dont know wether i can take pain killers or what as dont want my blood pressure to go back up was at a nice 130s today , one thing after another how do u deal with this driving me mad x

My bp is 134/84 n my oxygen 95 n pulse is 74 x

How are you feeling today? All chest pain, like you describe should be checked by a medic. Please seek advice from your GP's surgery today. If you are still getting that pain right now I'd dial the 111 NHS helpline right away..

Feel better then yesterday arm pain eased ,, my pain in rib n tummy still there n shoulder blade ,, I rang gp surgery this morning unfortunately no drs on but squeezed me in with nurse , she did my bp and was 140/100 and booking me in for bloods for my pain unsure when and advised if pain gets strong go a&e but feel if I go there I’ll just be sent back to gp ,, thank you for getting in touch x

A&E would do a blood test to see if it was your heart playing up. That would at least give you peace of mind.

When I had chest pain radiating to my back a few weeks ago I rang my GP's surgery, the receptionist immediately said that because of what I'd said she was sending paramedics. Two lovely ladies came and checked me over and I swear they were better than any GP or A&E staff. They did an ECG, which just showed my constant AF, then the younger paramedic of the two started pressing in my heart area, wow that was where the pain was and she managed to trace that pain all the way to my armpit. There followed a quick diagnosis, it was costochondritis, a pain often confused with a heart attack. Costochondritis is inflammation of the cartilage that joins the ribs to the breastbone. Feel along yours and see if you can feel pain there.

That’s true I was there the other day they just did bp, temperature and finger pulse thing and said not concerned as I’m young and sent me home ,, I just don’t think I can sit there for that long again and be sent home to just see my gp who I can’t seem to see anyway ,, I’ve been on live video with livi and they said I needed to see my dr face to face as he was concerned this was on Tuesday the day after I’d been to a&e and the receptionist kept telling me ring 8 in morning but that was phone appointments all gone so I begged to be seen today as still waiting since Tuesday and she got me in with clinician nurse who oviously can’t do what a gp can so I feel I’m stuck and getting nowhere ,,

Aw bless you if it is that I really am feeling your pain , my main pain is under breast left side but goes to just above belly button also when I say swell could that be inflammation I’m so bad at explaining , I’ll try have a look at that did you get anything for yours and what advice did you get please also did yours hurt worse laying down on left side and breathing off when breathed out ,, sorry if I’m being annoying just tryna find answers and at min I’m willing for any x

How do we cope…

Because we’re the BHF hearties and we’re strong and tough. Nothing but nothing gets us down.

We stand tall when adversity calls.

And my wife has told me to stop daydreaming and get on washing the dishes 😳🤣🤪🤣🤣

Just feel like I’m going crazy I don’t like to keep asking but then terrified of the not knowin can’t win

Also I know none of people I ask are medical experts but are probably more better to ask as are going through or been through it

How is it for you taking paracetamol as Don’t want to take if makes me feel worser

I’d rather take the pain , sorry for all questions x

For me Paracetamol is no problem. But The sort of pain you are describing needs to be checked.

Like you I didn’t want to bother anyone when I had chest pain. My wife went onto me so next day I went to the doctor. He immediately sent me to A&E and I didn’t come back out until I had a quintuple bypass. That was roughly two years after a heart attack and five stents.

Okay think I’ll take one and if eases got to be a good sign , I seen a nurse today did tell her my pains she did my blood pressure and booking me in for bloods for my pain , I don’t know what else to do at the minute

What sort of tests should I be getting like how do they find it out if something happening so if not done I could ask for it ?

Ahhhh yes I do think I’m very lucky to have a wife like I have (but don’t tell her that, my life won’t be worth living 😆).

I would not like to say what tests you should be having as there are different tests for different complaints.

Personally, I had an angiogram after my heart attack.

Update : had go walk in drs got to much he thinks it’s kidney stones but if get worser then is advised a&e job as they don’t have equipment t in there departments to test , hopefully it’s just this been advised lots of water painkillers and rest
