Does anybody get pressure in their chest without having a SVT attack? I was getting this intermittently but now it’s present a lot. My blood pressure is quite low and my heartbeat is rarely above 50 to 60. I have SVT, mitral valve prolapse and first degree heart block and take Bisoprolol 1.25. I had a mild attack of SVT two weeks ago at 3.30 am which gradually went back on its own,I did ask the doctor about this pressure but he couldn,t give an answer why. This was at A and E. Themambulance men insisted on taking me to hospital because of the pressure in case I had a heart attack.

SVT
I’ve never experienced pressure as part and parcel of my SVT, even when experiencing massive episodes that have needed intervention to resolve, and to the best of my knowledge and understanding, it’s not a typical symptom people report. I have felt very unwell with a couple, but that tended to be nausea, sweating, and chest pain.
Thanks for your reply, I started getting short attacks of SVT 20 years ago, they have increased in the last 5 years to full blown attacks needing adenosine. As I have got older they have got bad symptoms, I am now in my 70s
I have full blown chest pain when i have svt, it feels just like a heart attack. It happens in a short burst of svt even if it lasts only a few seconds. If i have a big episode i require blue lighting into cardiac ward and put on intravenous morphine for the excruciating pain and chemical cardioversion. It is horrendous.
I have never had SVT without pain.
Thanks for your reply. That sounds horrendous,I just get chest pressure. This chest pressure seems the same but no racing heart. I was on the list for ablation but the Coronavirus has caused problems.
