Can a brain mri pick up on heart failure or blood vessel problems or circulation that could be effecting the brain its self ?

Heart failure no, ECG and ultrasound are for that. It depends on who reads the scans, MRI will not pick up anything, it will show images of your brain and if contrast is used it can display more clearly some type of tumor formations so the radiologist will have easier time and more accurately assess what he is looking at . If you have bleeding or an old clot in your brain the radiologist will notice that on the scan. He can notice changes in your brain due to lack of oxygen. "blood vessel problems or circulation" only on a mri angio scan and that is not made in the routine (depending on what hospital, somewhere there is no routine mri scna) scan. Ultrasound is your best bet, do a heart ultrasound, leg, arms and carotid dopler.

I keep having ecg they keep coming back fine but had a blood vessel popping out of my neck & it pulsing had some concentration & memory problems my heart feels like its working over time i get cold & blue feet feels like my skin is tightening & always avin slight eyelid twitches few odd feelings at the front of my head sure im not getting enough blood circulation around my body & its causing me to feel like this my full body feel disconnected some days from my head starting to effect my sleep because waking up with it on my mind 24/7 :(

Forgot to mention throat feeling gone when swallowing & dryness in eyes nose throat just to much now this is why my mind aint resting so well finding it hard to do or carry out a simple task as well...dr just chucks pills for anxiety at me which my body also doesnt take well to they nock me out in a second like un normal that just frustrating now it is!

Sorry to hear how you are feeling with all this. I had a head MRI just a week ago now. I've had it because I have some odd memory/co-ordination type issues. We know that I have vascular disease pretty much everywhere else, so we are trying to see if there is anything going on in my brain. I'm not sure if that helps or not. Take care.

Hi somersetjo vascular disease does this cause high bloody pressure & looking veiny in your hands feet like lack of circulation getting there proper been having in pulsing neck can see it visible & eyelid twitching i neva feel well at all just memory always blank & sometimes my body does feel like it connecting to the rest of me if that makes sense ? Would like any advice plz x

Also how did you find out u had vascular disease been wanting a scan for ages on my chest because i also suffer chest pain frustrating as ecg always come back ok
