Bouncy heart

Hello. I went to doctors a couple of years ago when I realised a bpm in 50-40s and 30s while asleep wasn’t normal. I have ectopic beats and palpitations on the regular. I had 24h ecg, xrays, ultrasound, full bloods etc. My gp advised it’s just how it is and put it down to a ‘bouncy heart’. I had a hole in the heart operated on 35 years ago. Recently Ive noticed my heart rate is higher, now more ‘normal’ 60-70bpm 40s when asleep and I've been having tachycardia episodes 100-140bpm a few minutes a time a couple times a week. Is this more ‘bouncy heart’ symptoms?

The term bouncy heart is new to me but i can identify with it. Are your heart beats in a regular pattern whether they are low or high. I think i would go back to my GP and ask to be referred to a cardiologist if you arent under the care of one already. You dont mention heart medication, are you taking anything for the issue or indeed any other medication for any other health condition which could be exacerbating your heart rate.

How long have you been monitoring your heart for? There can be significant variations depending on your overall health, stress levels, body temperature etc.

Defo get a second opinion though if your concerned, your entitled to that.

I'm not sure what you mean by bouncy heart. Could you explain that further? Your current numbers for heart rate are good. Previous ones were low. What are you doing differently now from before that your heart rate has gone up? Is it possible that you're doing something that would just normally cause an episode of higher heart rate like something you ate, drank, jogging, anxiety etc...? Or are these true episodes of tachycardia? Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to help but need more information.
