I was diagnosed with SVT Tachycardia a year ago age 74. Recently I have noticed my blood pressure spikes when I have an episode. Eg 164/93. The BP usually reduces to normal within half an hour eg. 128/76. Anyone else experiencing this?

A had similar experience yesterday after full body massage. My BP was fluctuating rapidly and at one time it was 157/137. After taking a rest and breathing exercise, I take my BP every day and it is why I could find this. I consulted doctor who advised me
1. Not to take BP frequently
2. It is ok if once in a while for BP reading is out of standard without any other symptom 3. If every day your BP reading is out of standard then also you need not worry but see your doctor
Hope, you will find the reply useful
Hello,
I was reading your reply and I have found it very useful as I've had 3 or 4 instances of high blood pressure 165/128 and I now live in fear and check it about 10 times a day.
My doctor terrified me by saying if it goes over 200 for the top one or 100 for the low one it is a hypertensive crisis and you need to go to hospital, and since it is not always high but spikes (generally after a bowel movement) I keep checking it.
I have been to hospital twice with this but because my blood pressure is generally low the can't give me meds.
I'm so afraid
