...whether I should receive results of an Echocardiogram from the hospital where I received it, or from the GP who referred me? Currently both are saying each other!

If they didn't tell you at the time, then probably your GP. However, they can only do that if the hospital give it to them, so press them on that.
Hi - I had 1st post operation (July 2020) Echo in january. Usually a Cardio consultant is booked to review immediately afterwards but this couldn't happen in Jan as all the cardios were on COVID duty. I asked about obtaining a copy of report and was told that my GP has to request it - something that seems standard across NHS. (I think you can pay for electronic records direct to hospital as well - I did this years ago for neck x-ray).I still haven't received Cardio report - the secretary said they were doing them when they could (in between shifts on C wards)....so yep, press your GP seems to be best at moment
Results are sent to the person who requested the test.

You can request a copy of your notes and medical records by contacting the Patient Advisory Liaison Service ( PALS) of the hospital involved.
The General data protection regulations ( GDPR) outlines your rights which includes access to any of your test results.
