Clinically extremely vulnerable and Covid?

Hi there,

I haven’t posted before but I found the website a real source of support and information during my mitral valve repair with OHS in 2018. All went well but for some reason I’m listed as clinically extremely vulnerable. Since my heart is functioning well now can anyone throw light on this classification? I did have a small implant (a ring) to support the repair and I take 75 mg aspirin each day.

Many thanks in advance.

Karen

I will say it again, can’t understand why you are not way up the list. I will never get how these things work.

I've been trying to find info on CEV and Covid but it's difficult; the gov.uk / NHS 111 online search engine isn't great. My son and I are classed as CEV as - if we catch the virus - we are more likely than most of the 'normal' population to need hospitalisation. Neither of my parents are classed as CEV, despite both having underlying conditions and turning 70. It's whether you've been class as CEV on the GP patient system.
