Hi. I'm really trying to eat more healthy to reduce my cholesterol as my GP wants me to restart a Statin and I am not keen to do so.
I have an issue with dairy if I have too much so I use Soya milk and non dairy yoghurts. I really like Coconut Collaborative yoghurts which have no cholesterol but are naturally high in saturates. Am I correct in thinking saturates raise cholesterol? If so how can something have no cholesterol but high saturates? Should I stop eating these yoghurts because of the high saturates? Basically, I'm confused and any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

I also took to eating the coconut yoghurt as I have a high calcium problem from time to time and these contain less then milk but I also stopped them after my HA. Due to worry about cholesterol. Why not contact manufacturers or read lable and compare fat content to milk.
Thanks for the reply. I have contacted the manufacturer and they confirmed zero cholesterol but high natural saturates. So my query is really do the two balance themselves out or is the high saturates still best avoided even with zero cholesterol?
Just as an aside, the local breast cancer clinic says they’re seeing a lot of women with benign breast pain that disappears when they swap to organic dairy. They believe it’s to do with the amount of hormones in dairy.
