Hey all, I was recently diagnosed with POTS, heart rate was extremely high most days at times 180bpm. My cardiologist prescribed me Ivabradine twice daily, I started yesterday on 2.5mg morning and night and today my heart rate is super normal (60-75bpm), was wondering if any of you take this medication only once per day? I'm thinking I could potentially get away with 2.5mg taken at lunchtime each day and that should be enough.
Let me know if you have any experience please.
Many thanks

Can I ask why you want to reduce your dose when your cardiologist has got an unpleasant condition under control?
Ivabradine is meant to be taken twice daily as its elimination half-life is but two hours. Your dose is also the minimum dose so I cannot understand your concerns.
Hey, thanks for getting back to me. My concerns are going bracycardic, also medication shy, so to speak. I'm someone who doesn't easily reach for a pill if it's not necessary. Hope this answers your question
Ivabradine is usually stopped if your HR drops below 50 so I think you are fine. My resting rate is often in the fifties and used to be in the forties in my teens/twenties.
