Sorry for reaching out over Christmas but I'm very anxious. I was diagnosed with genetic HF in July and have since been building up my ramipril and bisoprolol. Currently on 5mg of both. I was put up to 7 mg of ramipril but dropped back after a few days as have started to have flutters/palpitations regularly, I didn't have these before or very rarely. I desperately don't want to go to hospital as in a very high infection area. Nit even sure if my nurse will be working boxing day.
Not sure what to do? How how worried I should be?
Thanks for any advice X

Hello. I’m sorry to hear of how you’re feeling. I can’t answer your question directly, but if you’re anxious call 111 for some professional medical advice. Now comes the hard bit...In the meantime try not to worry too much, as doing so will make you feel worse. I know it’s so easy for me to say but much harder for you to do. Best wishes to you and your loved ones.
Hi, take a deep breathe. Firstly there is nothing to fear calling 111 or 999 they will not take you anywhere near the Covid section. Some heart tablets can make anxiety worse as you have found out(Rampril). Most flutters are benign so very normal. Anxiety will make them worse. Try to distract yourself and put the Kettle on. If you start with chest pains then I would suggest you ring 999 no hesitation. Other than that. Get a film on. Take care🤗
Hello! I had a heart attack in august. Now I’m with ramipril and other medicaments. These days I have the same sensations you have. Some palpitations, like pins and needles. When I’m quiet is when I mostly feel them. So, time to sleep is the worst. I want to go the doctor, but I really have the same fear with Covid. Anyway, I think I’m going to see what he says. Good luck.
