I joined this site ages ago but didn’t really look properly and had no intention of posting as couldn’t see the point, but having done so and had some lovely replies, it’s made such a difference.
The other thing that’s helped is being able to try and support others. We all have different experiences and it’s amazing how much I’ve learnt from everyone.
My family don’t like discussing my situation so I’ve been pretty much going it alone as they think I’m exaggerating now since my angio came back clear, the rest isn’t serious in their opinion. (It’s fine my gp is great and understands microvascular angina)
Being able to immerse myself in all things cardio is like having a warm hug and this forum is helping me come to terms with this change in my life so THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU.

I totally agree. I joined in September this year after HA. Was scared and worried but the kindness and support I received from people really did help me feel so much better. I don't post much but read the posts every day and like you I have learned so much.Peace and love to everyone here
I agree. Just knowing that others are going through similar situations (often far worse) is very reassuring and comforting. The support that we all provide for one another is so important.
I'm the same. Joined it out of lockdown boredom and have been amazed at the level of caring and support members give each other. Have a problem, large or small, and you will get help.
Family tend to dismiss as nothing or overreact and not want me to move for fear of making things worse. Both responses drive me nuts equally.
On here we get honest responses with out being dismissed and learning so many others are going through similar experiences helps us not to feel like we’re ‘pretenders’ especially with some of the lesser understood conditions.
