Please form an orderly queue π
I'll pass thanks.
I'm jumping the queue π I work in Primary Care and we will be training extra people to carry out vaccinations, they are 'using' us (voluntarily) to practice on π
So to answer my Question from elsewhere, I decided Yes to being stabbed π
The hospital I volunteer at is rolling them out in the next fortnight. Iβll be helping to herd the victims, I mean guinea pigs, no I mean staff through the doorβ¦
Just listened to Nicola Sturgeon, first doses out 8th December. She said it will be the biggest logistical mobilisation in peacetime to get the whole population of Scotland vaccinated. Her word β monumental, β so to get the whole of the U.K. done my goodness itβs going to take some doing.Pauline
Pleased to hear you will be taking it Michael, goodness knows youβve enough to contend with without Covid on top. Wishing you well..
I am a definite and I hope classed as vulnerable aged 73 with Moderate /Severe Heart Failure.
Only question I have is, has taking Entresto, Bisoprolol along with all the other cocktail of Meds all been taken into consideration ??
I was going to ask the Heart Failure Nurse but after thinking about it I am sure the MHRA will have asked the Question !!

I wonder this too. Has the test just been done on healthy people or did it include a cohort with varying health issues too?
From what I have read itβs been on a range of different ages and people with different health issues. Thereβs someone on the forum whoβs Mother in her 90s and as heart problems also is a breast cancer survivor was one of the test subjects. So I think itβs been well looked at.
I'll definitely be getting it. It looks like my general hospital will be giving out the jabs. It will be a vast logistical operation.
Having had many vacations to allow me to work overseas I will most definitely have this when offered. My opinion is there really is not an alternative.
I will most definitely get it when it gets to me. I'm 46 with genetic HF. I only wish teachers figured in the lineup somewhere as I am working with 30 + ,4 and 5 year olds everyday and with multiple cases in my school, feel teachers should be pretty high on the agenda if we are keeping schools open throughout. I'm also in tier 3, aces π©
I fully agree with teachers. My great nephew's school (primary) is currently shut because of the number of cases amongst both teachers and pupils. My niece works part-time in schools and one had the whole of Years 9 and 10 isolating!
Definitely yes for me. I'm pretty low on the priority list, being under 60, so might be a while.
All the very best to you Michael xxx
Thank you! π I need all the luck I can get as the CovID situation doesn't help to move forward. Currently my life has been turned upside down! π
Morning all, I spoke to my cardiologist on Tuesday she said definitely take it and I will obviously be guided by her, although it is getting rolled out next week, I am in Scotland and very disappointed to see that I will not be in the first group meaning it could be March before I actually get mine I personally feel that's too long a wait for people on immunosuppressants surely we must be higher risk than some hail and hearty elderly people, I don't just mean heart transplant people like myself, cancer sufferers as well and anyone else immunosuppressed, I am now very worried about the rest of the winter, I am 62, just when the light was appearing in the tunnel its been switched off again, take care all char
Morning CharThink maybe you will get it before then, your still under the clinic. Have a feeling hospitals will be rolling it out, would have thought the jubilee would be first in line as the heart and lung centre for the west of Scotland.
Pauline
Cardiologist never mentioned anything about when we would get it just definitely to take it and when I checked the government Web site it said vulnerable people under 65 will be in the second group with the over 65's I would love to get it as soon as, my mum is 91 she should get it very soon char x
I will have my fingers and toes crossed for you but have a feeling you might be surprised. Once the care homes and nursing homes done and the over 80s think you will be in the next wave.
Fingers crossed it might be soon for us all, It would be lovely to get out and about again, and have a holiday in the sun next year, I really missed getting away this year, even with the dodgy ticker and ridiculous priced travel insurance I was still going abroad two or three times a year, oh to sit on the beach and swim in the med, definitely something to look forward to π β we were meant to be going to benidorm with friends for new year π€£πx
My son in Australia was coming over with the family have seen him 4 times over the past few years because of my health then his Dadβs but havenβt seen my granddaughters in the flesh since 2012 the plan was spring next year but thatβs on hold. With everything crossed it will happen sometime. You talking about the Med and swimming there had a smile as I look out on a very snowy garden. You will get there and keep that thought in your minds eye keep you warm though the winter π
