Hi all. I was on propranolol 2 x 40mg daily for anxiety for 2 weeks. I spoke to the mental health nurseabout side effects mainly dizziness and noticed my HR was dropping into the 50s and even high 40s. She told me to come off them by coming down to 1 x 40mg for 3 days then stopping. Today is my first day not taking them and noticed heaviness in my chest and that my HR is still going down into the 50s. Normally my resting HR was around 68-70. Has anyone else experienced this and how long should it take for things to go back to "normal"?

Sounds like you have been brought off them too abruptly. 80mg daily is quite a big dose . I would advise asking her or your GP for a longer tapering programme. You will probably feel more withdrawal in the next day or so. You could look up beta blocker withdrawal and beta blocker rebound for more info.
