Pacemaker box change

How long before people returned to work?and started doing exercise like gardening,walking the dog etc after this operation.thanks

Hi I had mine done last Thursday and started to walk the dog from Saturday, feel fine just being careful with the arm. On work I think it depends what type of work you do. Good luck with it and stay well.

Sorry not a box change, not needed that *yet*

When I had my pacemaker fitted, I couldn't walk my 3 at all for about 4 weeks ( I think), I used to go with hubby holding them all, but, they are big strong dogs, I gradually went back to walking them by, starting with one at a time and doing 3 small walks.

Work, I can't remember, but, again I do a physical job, so probably had a couple of weeks off, and then was careful with what I did and what I carried.

Having said that the operation to fit my pacemaker didn't go to plan ( kinky veins apparently) and ended up having an overnight hospital stay, and a risk of bleeding.

So maybe the advice I was given differed to some x
