Pacemaker set base heart rate

At the pacemaker clinic yesterday I got them to change my base rate from 50 to 60.

With the base rate at 50 I thought I was getting hypoxia, cerebral hypoglycaemia etc., as I felt rough on waking or after sitting for a while… e.g. I could not concentrate enough to play chess.

Now, with the base rate at 60, I feel great, with better mental clarity.

…but I have gone from not been able to think to having creative thoughts that keep me awake at night.

Nobody dies of insomnia… so I will hope that the problem will go away.

Have you had similar experiences?
