Hello! This month's collaborative zine will be all about SURGERY and/or SCARS. Please visit the blog for full details and maybe consider writing a creative contribution - heartytalescouk.wordpress.c... . Scars big or small, pale or keloid, we want to hear about them all, whether they're the result of a quadruple bypass or a regular blood test. Did you know October 22nd was Scar Appreciation Day? Apparently so!

October's zine (available for free download now - heartytalescouk.wordpress.c... ) was all about FEARS and we got so many fantastic contributions, including many from this online community. Thanks again to everyone who took part!

I've given you 3 to choose from. Love David's one. I also have a large scar across my heart, but not sure I can write about that!

They're great! Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙌 (that's one thank you per haiku!) And I also have a constellation of stab marks from blood tests. Never happens on the first attempt 😂

I love cannulas - takes at least 3 attempts to get it in, then, by the time they've decided what to do with it, it's dried up, so they have to start again
