Hi it wasn't a pacemaker I had it was an Icd (implantable cardio defibrillator) and I had a home monitor, it saves a lot of visits to the clinic, it was only once a year I had to go as it downloads all information and sends it to the hospital, my icd sent me an appropriate shock when I was asleep, I never knew a thing until a nurse phoned me, so they certainly do work, char
Yes. i had a new one in June. My previous one had one too but stopped using as it was private. Mine links to Barts now and Prof Schilling looked at a download and phoned me for a consult.
Is yours ok. How are you doing
Hi, I have a medtronic device associated with my pacemaker, but unfortunately because of the poor mobile phone network where I live, it struggles to automatically send to the pacemaker clinic, so I end up doing it manually every few weeks which seems to keep the clinic happy.
I understand that you can get an app, but you need to check the operating system on your mobile to make sure it's compatible.
I have a cardioverter defibrillator so it is a defibrillator and a pacemaker. It's a Boston scientific and I have a home monitor. You can also press the button on it if you don't feel right and a worried. It is a comfort knowing its there x
Yes, I have an ICD. My monitor lives in my sitting room rather than my bedroom, but I rarely go to bed before about 1am, and since I've had no calls from the pacing clinic, I assume they're downloading ok.
