Hi Frank,

For those of us without a handy copy of the right issue of Heart Matters magazine is this the recipe you are referring to?

We tend to cook a Ham Joint in the slow cooker and then use the Ham sliced in various meals, sandwiches etc, then we put the remaining chunks into the Pea Soup decadent but soooooooooo Nice.

Also inexpensive meals

Hi Lesley

Here's your invite and Menu

You and Kevin will be having a small Soup to start followed by Fillet Steak with Hasselback Potatoes with Ice Cream and Sticky Toffee pudding for Afters.

Washed down with Savvy B or Shiraz. Followed by Sipsmith Gin with Fever Tree Tonic.

Now off for my 6pm appointment for Ultrasound. !!!

That sounds absolutely gorgeous, though I'm afraid I'd have to eat kevins sticky toffee pudding and ice cream as he doesn't do puddings. It'll be hard but.....I'll force myself! 😋

Good luck with the ultrasound. Kevin had an scan at 6pm a few months ago, I think we were the only ones in the hospital, even the cleaners had left, and we were locked in a corridor with no apparent way out!! Was very scary for a frantic 10/15 mins! 😂 When we finally got out of the corridor we found out we were at the wrong hospital so had to hotfoot it round the corner, very stressful these late night dates!! 😂

My wife is working late tonight so, just before she is due home, I'm going to run a hot bath with her favourite bath salts, light perfumed candles around the rim, and have a nice bottle of champagne chilled and ready. Then I'm going to enjoy a long soak while she cooks my dinner.

😂 I hope your wife appreciates how thoughtful you are being by keeping out of the kitchen while she's busy 🤔😂

👍 🤣

My wife is a great cook - yesterday she made some soup from scratch.

Which was a pity......... I bloody well loved that dog.
