What does this mean ? "Akinesia at the apex at baseline." I had a double bypass in 2017 of which only 1 1/2 of the arteries are working, my quality of life has got worse not better. I went for a second opinion, had a Dobutamine ECG and this is what theyve come back with but I cant get to talk to a Dr to find out what this means.

I suspect I have a good idea but am not posting as it is somewhat of a guess. You really need to speak to a cardiologist to expand this medical shorthand. I believe the BHF nurses are working over the weekend. Why not give them a call.

When you get an answer please do update us. Thank you...

Hi Michael thanks I have just phoned the BHF nurse lovely lady. She basically said the heart muscle isnt working at the base of the heart. I also told her on my report it also said 2/17 segments are not viable of which she told me to ask the consultant (if I can get through) if that means I've had 2 heat attacks of which I know I've had 1 silent one before. I'm also type 1 diabetic.

Interesting! I believe they devide the heart muscle into 17 sections and they are saying 2 of the 17 sections were damaged by the heart attack. Please let us know if you get though to the consultant.
