Well no physio of any sort over weekend and today I can't even exercise after losing tyre on low speed turn. Apparently can't be touched till appropriate person in tomorrow. Reckon I could do it with two spoons as serviced my own bicycles, motorcycles and cars for decades. Trapped! ☹️

Derailed Today
Shall I come over with my 2 spoons and sort it out, I always used to fix my bike from a young age but hospitals doing things by the book is so frustrating even though it has to be done.
Good luck for tomorrow. Please give an update.
You weren’t doing wheelies were you ? 😃
It has wheelie bars at the back! Unfortunately I cannot generate enough acceleration with canulla in my arm. Actually it came off in a low speed turn. Previously a brake jammed and I could only go round on circles (constant radius rather than ever decreasing)! 🤣🤣🤣
Ancient design like temporary leg!
Michael
I only hope the bulb doesn't go in your over head light.
There must be a joke about how many members of NHS staff does it take to change a light bulb.
You need a zapped up one with go faster stripes 😂😂
V8 small block maybe! 😁
You could have a Tesla Roadster to give you a speedy start 😂😂 you’d be a blur 🏎 😃
I like a V8 rumble! My you the twin system on my Zodiac sounds good!
Love the idea of wheelie bars Most people use those as stabilizers when going up and down kerbs, but if they have an alternative use, go for it (once the tyre is back on, of course)!!
My sympathies Michael, that must be so frustrating! Doubly so with this glorious weather.
Not so good I hope they can fix it early doors and let you get back to your exercise char
Oh that's annoying! But as you know you can't fix it as you haven't been Health & Safety accessed, nor has anyone deduced whether you have the appropriate qualifications that would deem you competent to carry out the repair, and I won't even go near the question of whether the task is appropriate to your grade/pay band. 😊
As a retired wheelchair service workshop manager NHS, may i inform you that it can be repaired by yourself or someone else in an emergency situation, ie unable to get around, you must have it checked ASAP by your local NHS repairer, assuming the chair belongs to the NHS.
I read the topic line in the email notification and thought OH NO! Ok, it is a derailment but not the one I was worried it might be.
Clearly the exercise gods have spoken, Michael, 'You will rest and let the antibiotics do their work!'.
Put. The. Spoons. Down!
Oh no how frustrating hope you get fixed this morning, first thing. Makes the days so much longer than they are when you are just waiting. Fingers crossed for you.
How darned annoying😏, hope you get your wheels back today 🙂
Just fixed! Two physios tried earlier but failed so got a spare chair as they want me moving as much as possible. The spare had an issue it that the stump board would not fit but another physio came passed a did it single handed! Despite witnesses to the contrary they suspect I was influenced by the F1! Maybe I need a rear wing between the handles! 🤣🤣🤣
I feel for you. Have fixed it?
So glad you've got the thing fixed. Get back to the F1 stunts in the garden!! xxx
Hi Michael, keep up the FI stunts! A tip, do you know that the tyres suddenly perish? Not a good thing when you have been pushing someone a long way from home and all the rubber just disintegrates so keep an eye on them when you get home. Also wear gloves, even if only the fingerless ones when pushing yourself outside, there's an amazing amount of dog's mess about. You can tell I found out the tips the hard way can't you.
Keep smiling, it confuses people.
I had the same problem with my power chair... but the solution was different, as it had split rims on the front wheels.
I was mobile enough to fix it my self - so, after the first time, I kept the tools I needed on the machine.
Cycle trye levers might be better than spoons - and you could keep some with your chair?
