I have had a pacemaker fitted in February

I just can't cope with it in .I am in constant pain

Can't lift my both arms over my hand

Been tring light exercise but give up to quickly

Can anyone help to give me he motivation

And how long does it take to recover .

P.s I still have a job but been off sick since the time I had it fitted

Should I give up my job and put all my effort into my recovery

Have you spoken to your Cardiologist or pacing clinic about the pain as this doesn't sound normal at all.

I also had my pacemaker fitted in February, took 6-8 weeks to get over it but now I would say apart from a slight twinge if I overstretch my arm or shoulder I really don't know it's there.

I would get onto your pacing clinic and ask for a review.

I have seen cardiologist

If the pain carries on the say might have to cut

It out and put it in a different position

Risk are it might get infected

Taking a lot off meds for the pain

Hi I had ICD fitted first week February the first few weeks was a bit sore but after that it’s fine. Doesn’t hurt mostly but you know it’s there and sometimes at the end of the day if I’ve really done too much my shoulder gets sore the other day I was laying some paving stones about 10 of them that night my shoulder was sore.
